One of the key tenants to any conference is the ability to network with your colleagues.  At IMAGIN & MiCAMP, we strive to plan fun and engaging social events and networking opportunities for our conference goers.  Check out the scheduled social events below and get ready to have some fun!

Pre-Conference Activities (June 1st, 2025):

Arriving early? Join us on Sunday afternoon for one of our scheduled pre-conference social events.  Limited spots available on several events so be sure to register early!

Pub Hop:

Interested in a walk around downtown Kalamazoo and visiting three of the local watering holes with your fellow mappers? Then join us for IMAGIN/MiCAMP Pub Hop on Sunday from 3pm to 6pm. Meet the group at 2.45pm in front of the main entrance to Radisson Hotel (corner of W Michigan & N Rose). We will be visiting Crafted Copper, Green Top Tavern and Hub Tavern & Grill. The registration is free, each participant is responsible for their own food and drinks. Registration deadline is May 29th.

Growlers Baseball Game:

Are you a fan of baseball or just want to spend an afternoon at the ballpark enjoying the company of your fellow IMAGIN/MiCAMP members? Then we have an event for you! Kalamazoo Growlers are playing Traverse City Pit Spitters Sunday 6/1 at 1.35pm at Homer Stryker Field (251 Mills St. Kalamazoo, MI 49048). Gates open at 12.35pm. We have two group outing ticket options: $27 that includes all-you-can-eat ballpark buffet (available for 90 minutes after the gates open until 2.05pm; buffet includes burgers, hot dogs, rotating sides such as pasta salad or mac&cheese as well as dessert and unlimited sodas and water; vegetarian options available upon request) and $17 without the buffet. Parking is $10 onsite or $5 nearby. Carpooling, ridesharing and public transit options are also available. This is a family friendly event, children under 3 are free. Registration deadline is May 18th.

Golf Outing:

Ready for a round of golf? Join your fellow IMAGIN/MiCAMP members on a golf outing at the beautiful Eastern Hill Golf Course. Registration is free to reserve your spot however the course fees of approximately $55 are payable to the Golf Club the day of the outing. Fees include ½ golf cart. First tee time for Two Person Scramble is 1pm. Meet the group at 12.30pm in front of Eastern Hills Golf Club (6075 East G Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49004). Conference Welcome Reception (June 1st, 2025):

Kick off the 2025 Conference with a welcome reception Sunday evening from 8pm to 11pm at LFG Bar, Kalamazoo’s only Arcade and Video Game Bar. LFG is located only a block away from the Radisson at 116 Portage Street and will be closed to the general public for our event. Come over to enjoy some old school arcade games or play on the newest video game consoles with your fellow conference attendees. Appetizers, one free drink ticket, and unlimited play tokens will be provided. Cash bar will be available. No registration is required, and the event is open to all conference attendees.

Conference Monday Evening Social (June 2nd, 2025):               

Join us for Monday Evening Social at Bell’s Eccentric Café from 8pm to 11pm (355 E Kalamazoo Ave). Shuttle between Radisson and Bell’s by B&W Charters will be running back and forth with first pick up at 7.30pm and last drop off at 11.30pm. Come enjoy great company, good beers, lawn games and music. We will also raffle off prizes for the scavenger hunt – you must be present to win. One drink ticket and appetizers will be provided, cash bar will be available. No registration is required, and the event is open to all conference attendees. Please wear your name badge.
