Social Events

One of the key tenants to any conference is the ability to network with your colleagues.  At IMAGIN, we strive to plan fun and engaging social events and networking opportunities for our conference goers.  Check out the scheduled social events below and get ready to have some fun!


Pre-Conference Activities (June 2nd, 2024):

Arriving early? Join us on Sunday afternoon for one of our scheduled pre-conference social events.  Limited spots available on several events. Spots are limited so be sure to register early!

Brew Bus Tour:
The Brew Tour is back! Join your fellow IMAGIN members and hop on a coach bus to visit local watering holes. We will be visiting St Ambrose Cellars, Five Shores Brewing and Stormcloud Brewing. Meet us at the front of the Crystal Mountain Conference Center at 2.45pm, the bus will leave promptly at 3pm with a return time of 7pm. Registration cost is $20. The bus transportation is provided, food and drinks are on your own.
M-22 Sightseeing Bus Tour:

This family-friendly event will take you on a sightseeing tour along Lake Michigan. Stops include Inspiration Point, Elberta Beach Scenic Overlook, Point Betsie Lighthouse and Frankfort. Meet us at the front of the Crystal Mountain Conference Center at 2.45pm, the bus will leave promptly at 3pm with a return time of 7pm. Registration cost is $20.


Bike Ride at Crystal Mountain:

Are you a fan of biking? Join us on the trail at Crystal Mountain for a cross-country bike ride. No lifts are needed and the trail is easy to intermediate in difficulty. The route is approximately 7 miles. Meet us at the front of the Crystal Mountain Conference Center at 3pm with a departure time of 3.15pm. Biking gear is not provided, please bring your own or rent from the resort. For more information on bike rental from Crystal Mountain please check their website.

Fishing Outing:

Looking for some tranquility? Join your colleagues for a few hours of fishing on the Big Manistee River! Located just down the road from Crystal Mountain Resort, the Big Manistee River offers easy access and fishing for all skill levels. Teeming with a wide array of fish species, anglers will have the opportunity to catch both brown and rainbow trout along with other species. So grab a fishing rod and experience what the Big Manistee has to offer. Waders are recommended but not required. Fishing gear is not provided, however some accommodations can be made if arranged in advance. Registration is limited! Meet us at the front of the Crystal Mountain Conference Center at 3pm with a departure time of 3.15pm. We will carpool to the fishing spot. Conference Ice Breaker Social (June 2nd, 2024):

Join your colleagues for an ice breaker on the Lodge Deck Pavilion starting at 8pm.  No registration required.


Conference Monday Evening Social and Dinner at Iron Fish Distillery (June 3rd, 2024):                

This is the perfect opportunity to kick back, relax, and enjoy casual networking at Iron Fish.  Challenge someone to a yard game or take a tour.  The Iron Fish experience is sure to please.

Dinner starts at 6pm. All conference goers in attendance will receive a free drink ticket regardless of dinner reservations.

Dinner Menu: $25 per person - Deadline to register for dinner is 5/19/24
Taco Bar and Slider Bar with a variety of toppings, Chips and Guacamole & Salsa, Baked Mac & Cheese, Vegetarian Makhani Curry.

Don’t want to drive?  IMAGIN has arranged for a shuttle bus to run between the resort and Iron Fish.  RSVPs for dinner are required.  If you have any questions, please reach out to info@imagin.org.
