Group Bike Ride sponsored by Giffels Webster

Join us on 20-mile bike trip along the scenic Betsie Valley Trail from Frankfort to Beulah and back. We will meet at 2.30 pm Sunday 6/4 in the trailhead parking lot in Frankfort (510 Main St, Frankfort, MI 49635).  Crystal Lake Adventure Sports is just down the street (312 Main St, Frankfort, MI 49635) offers bike rentals, but you can also bring your own bike if you’d like to. The rental is about $30-35. Please make your own bike rental reservations ahead of time. They can be done online or by calling 231-399-0329. At 3pm we will head out on the trail to Beulah. Along the way we can stop at the Crystal Lake Outlet Dam. The ride one way is 10 miles and takes about an hour. The trail is flat and paved except 3 miles of aggregate along Crystal Lake right outside of Beulah. We will rest at the end of the trail in Beulah and visit Five Shores Brewing to enjoy refreshments sponsored by Giffels Webster before the ride back to Frankfort. The total time is expected to be about 3 hours. Once back in Frankfort after the bike ride the plan is to have dinner at Stormcloud Brewing Company before heading back to Crystal Mountain Resort for the Sunday Night Social. Frankfort offers a variety of restaurants, so feel free to explore on your own as well. Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of bike rental, dinner, and transportation.  Registration for the bike ride closes on Thursday June 1.
